Are rental rates daily, weekly or monthly?
It depends on the machine and the supplier. Listings state the rate and period where the supplier publishes them; larger equipment is more often quoted per week or per month, and long hires are usually negotiable.
Does the rate include an operator?
Not usually. Operated hire is a separate arrangement and is priced differently. Confirm it explicitly rather than assuming either way.
Who is responsible for maintenance during a hire?
Normally the supplier for scheduled servicing and the hirer for daily checks, consumables and damage — but the split varies by agreement, and on long hires it is worth pinning down in writing before the machine arrives.
Is tooling included in a rental?
Rarely by default. Kelly bars, augers, clamps and driving caps are usually quoted separately. Confirm what comes with the machine, because the wrong tooling makes an otherwise suitable rental unusable.
