Are used machines covered by any warranty?
That is between you and the seller. Some dealers offer warranty on used equipment; contractors selling out of their own fleet generally do not. Establish it in writing before agreeing anything.
What paperwork should come with a used machine?
Service history, original manuals, conformity documentation, and any inspection or thorough-examination certificates. On lifting equipment the certificates are not optional paperwork, and their absence should stop the conversation.
