Vibratory hammers drive and extract sheet piles, H-piles, tubes and casing by shaking them into the ground rather than striking them. Rotating eccentric weights generate vibration that temporarily reduces friction between the pile and the surrounding soil, letting the pile settle under its own weight and that of the hammer.
They work best in granular soils and are usually the quickest option for both driving and pulling sheets. Units are either suspended from a crane or mounted on an excavator, and most require a matched hydraulic power pack.
